I can’t really claim I don’t like abstract art
because some of the colors and patterns appeal
but it leaves too much to the imagination
and it doesn’t satisfy like real images do.
So what to make of a bunch of colored bars?
Well, how about a poem where colored gospel
singers are singing in a subway with the lines:
“Two shabby men singing
like angels singing like shabby men
never to be seen again.”
But then I don’t think there can ever be
too much imagination or too much poetry
or art that brings forth imagination or is it
the other way around?
