Let Sleeping Dogs Lie #2
Don’t stir up the past is the meaning of this old adage
and there are times when this is good advice.

But why would a dog lie down in snow?
Why would any creature lie down to sleep in snow?
In the Innuit culture the old and dying wander
off and lie down in the snow or ice to die
but a dog would likely prefer a warm spot on the hearth.
So what would inspire an artist to make us wonder why snow?
“But remember this.
Inspiration can, if forced, take nourishment from nothing at all.”
